Oman's mobile operator Omentel and the second largest telecommunications operator in the United Arab Emirates have jointly established a new submarine cable as a unique fast track connecting Oman and the United Arab Emirates. Omantel and Du2 jointly connect the sultanate and the United Arab Emirates through a newly activated 275km long international submarine optical cable, which is named the Oman United Arab Emirates Gateway (OEG), and will meet the changing market demand, improve speed, expand connectivity, provide enhanced customer experience, and provide broader business services.
