The efficient separation and treatment of oily sewage can not only solve the problem of environmental pollution, but also recycle the recovered oil and improve the utilization rate of resources. Therefore, it has attracted great attention from all countries in the world. Porous sponge has the advantages of rapid oil absorption and large oil absorption, and is widely used in the field of oily sewage treatment. At present, high temperature heat treatment, surface fluorination and other methods are commonly used to prepare oil-absorbing materials, but these methods have disadvantages such as high treatment cost and complex preparation process.
Recently, the separation materials and technology team of Xinjiang Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences used cheap commercial organic silane as the main raw material, and used the sol gel reaction process of multi-component silane system to prepare siloxane coating. The effective adhesion of polysiloxane on the surface of polymer sponge was achieved through solution immersion, and high-performance oil absorption materials with rich pore structure were obtained (as shown in the figure). This method is simple and easy to realize large-scale production.
