Since the beginning of 2024, DMC prices have steadily increased. Last week, major silicone factories started to receive orders, DMC prices continued to rise, and other monomer factories have followed up with price increases or closures.

Silicon prices saw a slight decrease, methane chloride prices continued to drop, and methanol prices remained relatively stable, weakening the cost support for DMC. Currently, mainstream DMC prices are quoted at 16,100-17,000 RMB per ton. Last week, raw material prices rose, strengthening cost support, resulting in price increases across the board for 107 glue, raw rubber, rubber, and silicone oil. With major factories continuing to raise prices, downstream demand for buying up rather than down has increased, supporting overall pre-sale orders for monomer factories. It is expected that the organic silicon market will experience stable growth in the near term.
