In 2004, scientists Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov made a groundbreaking discovery by using adhesive tape to isolate a single layer of graphene. According to Andre Geim, "The silicon industry has matured significantly. Two-dimensional materials like graphene have the potential to complement silicon and enable the production of next-generation electronic products with vastly improved performance. However, there is still a long way to go, with an estimated timeframe of 5-10 years."

While graphene shows great promise as a complementary material to silicon, experts emphasize that widespread adoption will take time. With ongoing research and innovation, the day when graphene revolutionizes the electronic industry may be closer than we think.
