Recently, global rubber giant 3M announced on Friday that it had fired Michael Vale, a long-term executive, for "improper behavior and violation of company policies".
Just last month, Vale was promoted to the position of President and Chief Business and Country Officer of 3M Group, responsible for overseeing 3M's security, industrial, consumer, transportation, and electronics businesses, reporting directly to CEO Mike Roman. Michael Vale was promoted to the above position just last month, and prior to his dismissal, Vale served as the group president of 3M's safety and industrial business.
