France Recycled New Energy Materials in 2022

Recently, the French company Soren released its annual report for 2022. The report shows that in 2022, more than 10 million solar panels were placed on the French market, totaling approximately 4 gigawatts, a 25% increase from 2021, equivalent to approximately 233000 tons, indicating a steady increase in the production of solar modules.

It is understood that the report identified 3848 tons of scrapped components to be recovered in 2022, of which 3103 tons are in France and 745 tons are in France. This is higher than 2021, but lower than 2029 and 2020. 3600 tons were collected on-site, and 248 tons were voluntarily donated.

Out of the 5005 tons of old components processed in 2022, 4210 tons were sent for recycling, 609 tons were used for disposal, and 186 tons were used for energy recovery.
