On August 30, the boards of Elkem and Elkem Testvirksomhet AS (formerly known as REC Solar Norway AS) approved a merger. The decision to merge will be registered with the Norwegian Business Registry and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. The merger is anticipated to take effect after the statutory six-week creditor notification period concludes.

REC Solar Norway AS is a company focused on solar energy solutions, mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of solar photovoltaic products.

Upon completion of the merger, Elkem will acquire all assets and rights of Elkem Testvirksomhet AS and assume all its obligations, while Elkem Testvirksomhet AS will be dissolved as a legal entity.
