Shigeyoshi Inoue, a professor of silicon chemistry at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, was awarded the Organic Silicon Award by the Wacker Chemical Group. Walker announced this news on May 12th. Professor Inoue was awarded this award for his groundbreaking scientific research, especially in the field of low coordination silicon compounds. One of his work focuses on the synthesis and reactivity of novel low oxidation silicon complexes.
